A new free recycling drive has started, first at our Fukuyama (Hiroshima Prefecture) warehouse and now expanded to our Kyushu (Fukuoka) warehouse.
Through this project, we’ve opened 24-hour recycling stations within our branch facilities, where anyone in the community can drop off recyclable items such as cardboard, small household appliances, and metal materials at any time. The goal is to make recycling easier and more accessible for everyone.
When the first recycling area opened in Fukuyama, there was some uncertainty about whether people would actually use it. But just one week after opening, the bins were already full. The response from the community was far beyond what we expected — a clear sign that people care deeply about keeping their environment clean.
Seeing the appreciation and participation from those around us reminded us of the importance of contributing to the community and protecting the environment together.
We’re grateful for the warm support and cooperation we’ve received so far, and we’ll continue working to expand this project to more of our branches. By creating spaces where everyone can easily recycle, we hope to help build a cleaner and more sustainable future for all.
